Deanna Cherry & Ricardo Vidal are experienced facilitators focused on supporting groups and individuals to articulate nascent knowledge through honest dialogue. Deanna & Ric co-facilitate retreats and workshops that support groups and individuals to shift organizational and educational cultures to have greater focus on positive communication, well-being and accountability - disrupting suppression and creating spaces for healing, reconciliation and renewal.
Deanna graduated from UCLA in 1992 with degrees in Intergroup Relations and Discrimination & International Development. After graduation she raised over 13 million dollars for anti-poverty programs, and over the course of 25 years developed expertise in facilitating retreats and workshops focused on culture change and racial equity. She is a coach certified by the Institute for Integrative Coaching.
Ric has worked with vulnerable, incarcerated and unaccompanied minors for more than 25 years. His expertise as a gang interventionist in Los Angeles brought him to Native American reservations where he began a 15-year process of learning indigenous wisdom and philosophy. In 2016, Ric founded IPR Healing Artz South Central, an independent art studio in South LA where youth spend time creating and healing, leading community events, and developing their own businesses to build self-sustainability.
